Nina Papazian is a registered social worker with over 30 years experience supporting individuals, couples and families in enhancing mental health and well-being. Nina is passionate about providing support and guidance to people who have experienced loss, including those who may be experiencing traumatic stress from past or recent experiences. Nina’s compassionate and non-judgmental approach has eased many into a counselling process that is therapeutic and effective in restoring well-being and quality of life.
Nina has a specialization in Veterinary Social Work (counselling and mental health support to veterinary professionals and bereaved pet guardians), she is a certified Pet Loss Grief Specialist and is a host with the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement web chat support resource. Having provided social work support in a hospital setting, including Nephrology and Dialysis as well as Women’s Health programs, Nina is also familiar with the challenges, stressors and losses that come along with chronic or acute health concerns.
Nina is a member of the Ontario College of Certified Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement, and the Traumatic Incident Reduction Association. Nina has been professionally trained in Trauma Incident Reduction, Internal Family Systems Therapy, as well as Grief and Bereavement Counselling.
