Brenda Leonard RN, BSCN, M.A., M.ED.

After graduating in Nursing, Brenda has worked as a Registered Nurse for almost 25 years. Also, she has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, completed her Masters in Counselling and worked as a Diabetes Nurse Educator. She is currently working as a Counsellor and recently completed her Masters of Education.

Rachel Kampf, M. ED.

Rachel Kampf is a Clinical Member, Ontario Society of Psychotherapists, and has completed 6 years of clinical training at the Institute for Core Energetics, New York. She employs CBT, among other modalities and methods of treatment throughout a career that spans 30+ years.

Nina Papazian MSW, RSW, VSW

Nina Papazian is a registered social worker with over 30 years experience supporting individuals, couples and families in enhancing mental health and well-being. Nina is passionate about providing support and guidance to people who have experienced loss, including those who may be experiencing traumatic stress from past or recent experiences. Nina’s compassionate and non-judgmental approach has eased many into a counselling process that is therapeutic and effective in restoring well-being and quality of life.

Nina has a specialization in Veterinary Social Work (counselling and mental health support to veterinary professionals and bereaved pet guardians), she is a certified Pet Loss Grief Specialist and is a host with the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement web chat support resource. Having provided social work support in a hospital setting, including Nephrology and Dialysis as well as Women’s Health programs, Nina is also familiar with the challenges, stressors and losses that come along with chronic or acute health concerns.

Nina is a member of the Ontario College of Certified Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement, and the Traumatic Incident Reduction Association. Nina has been professionally trained in Trauma Incident Reduction, Internal Family Systems Therapy, as well as Grief and Bereavement Counselling.

Lara Stewart-Panko, RSW

Specialties: Anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and physical illness, specifically cancer.

With over twenty years serving individuals, families, and community organizations, Lara is able to draw on a broad body of knowledge and experience when assisting others in making sense of their lives. In her role as a full-spectrum and end-of-life doula, her work has included helping people prepare for and live through the life-altering journey of grief. No stranger to loss herself, Lara knows the world from the inside, and is humbled by the depths and lessons of bereavement. She’s also an educator for the International End of Life Doula Association, specializing in the area of trauma-informed care. As a counsellor, Lara meets people where they’re at, bringing acceptance, compassion and caring to the table. She has a deep love of animals, and her family could never be complete without them.

As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), Lara is a regulated mental health professional. Her services are covered by many benefit plans, and are claimable as a health care expense for income tax purposes.
